CCS opens 88th year with several new offerings
imageNew additions to the academic program this year include instruction in Chinese by Dr. Liping Liu, and a class in Contemporary Environmental Issues: Sustainability Studies and Investigations.

Anti-drug rally is Sunday at Antioch
Cydney Fisher, a 2009 Urbanna Oyster Festival Queen contestant, and her Little Miss Spat contestant, RuthAnne Key, have planned a mini rally to provide information on drug and alcohol prevention as part of her community service project.


Troop 341 plans Car Wash fundraiser
Boy Scout Troop 341 will be at the Cooks Corner Car Wash on Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be drying cars and cleaning tires for donations.


Middlesex and Essex students visit Europe
imageIn June, students from Essex and Middlesex spent a week visiting the sights of London and Paris. While in London, the group saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben.
