Walsh on Virginia Tech dean’s list
Colin C. Walsh of Deltaville was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Virginia Tech. Walsh is a senior majoring in management in the Pamplin College of Business. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

Carol Montgomery of Hartfield is one of 624 students at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg named to the university’s dean’s list for the 2009 spring semester. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
During her four years at Roanoke College, Faudree gained membership in Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Mu Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa. She also was on the Dean’s List and Faculty List of Honorable Mention. Her extra curricular activities included traveling to New Orleans to perform Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, mentoring through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, and serving as president of Alpha Sigma Alpha.
07.01.2009Valdrighi named assistant principal
Chris Valdrighi of Weems has been named assistant principal of New Kent High School for the 2009-2010 school year. Valdrighi currently serves as the project director for the Summer Jobs for Youth Network, a Jessie Ball duPont Fund grant program through the Workforce Development office of Rappahannock Community College. Prior to that, he served as principal at Middlesex High School and as a school administrator in Essex County.
