Governor’s School offers science camp for ages 7-9
Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School (CBGS) for Marine and Environmental Science will offer “Hot Days—Cool Science,” a three-day, hands-on summer science camp for children ages 7-9, from June 18-20 at the Glenns Campus of Rappahannock Community College.

Crittenden wins scholarship
Allison Crittenden, a 2012 graduate of Christchurch School, is the winner of a $1,000 scholarship to study agriculture sponsored by the Northern Neck Vegetable Growers Association. Crittenden will be an incoming freshman at Virginia Tech majoring in agricultural economics with a career goal of working in agricultural law.


Governor’s School students attend science festival
imageChesapeake Bay Governor’s School students from all three campuses (Bowling Green, Glenns, and Warsaw) recently travelled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the second annual USA Science and Engineering Festival at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.


Deltaville man earns diploma at age 77
imageRobert Tabler stuttered when he spoke. Children made fun of him all through his school years. One day the teacher asked him to read out loud. Of course, the students snickered. He had reached his breaking point. Tabler closed the book and walked out.
