Stewart 5K raises $12,500
Ware Academy and the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic held the 2nd Annual Bobby Stewart 5K Walk/Run last Saturday at Williams Wharf in Mathews. The event raised $12,500 with just over 200 participants walking, running, limping, laughing and just having a great time with Sherin Stewart (wife of the late Dr. Stewart) and her girls.

The Middlesex Family YMCA will host Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the event, the YMCA will be having numerous booths and activities for youth. Everyone is invited. One does not have to be a member of the YMCA to attend this free event.

Middlesex residents who are graduating or have graduated in past years may make application for the Elliott and Elizabeth Richardson Memorial Scholarship, and/or the Frances R. Parker Memorial Scholarship. These scholarships are available to those who are pursuing a higher education, have exhibited a potential for becoming a self-supporting and productive citizen, and are in need of financial assistance to make this possible.
