School superintendents criticize budget cuts
The frustration was apparent Tuesday as several officers of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents (VASS) vented their opposition to the Governor’s proposed budget amendments, state and federal mandates, pay-for-performance pilot programs, and requirements to spend 65% of their budgets on instruction.
