Families of 9th-graders invited to Governor’s School meeting
Middlesex County Public Schools has rescheduled the informational meeting about the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School for Marine and Environmental Science. Families of 9th grade students should note the new time & date is Thurs., Jan. 31, at 6:30 p.m. in the High School media center.

Student art classes offered on Saturdays
Chesapeake Academy and the Rappahannock Art League (RAL) are collaborating once again to offer their creative series of Saturday art classes for young artists ages 5 to 14.


School board votes to accept resignation of MHS football coach
On Tuesday afternoon the Middlesex County School Board held a special meeting to decide whether to accept the resignation of Middlesex High School head football coach Josh Franke. And on a 3-2 vote, his resignation was accepted.


Three area juniors selected to attend Freedoms Foundation Conference
imageMoira Hull and Thomas Hyde of Lancaster High School, along with Jennifer Ratcliffe of Northumberland High, have been selected by the local Mary Ball Washington Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation to attend the March session of the annual 4-day Youth Leadership Conference at Valley Forge.
