Mission: Get children excited about reading
Mary Ann McKay will go to great lengths to get children to read. As the youth service coordinator for the Middlesex County Public Library, McKay has expanded the library’s reading programs into Middlesex Elementary School in a partnership to promote reading together. “It’s been very well received,” she said.

Abingdon Episcopal Church at White Marsh in Gloucester County will host Bulgarian violinist Bella Hristova at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at the church. The concert will mark the third this season in the Arts at Abingdon Series. A free-will offering will be taken.
01.11.2012‘Golden Shoe’ winners at MES
Sarah Catanese and her 4th grade class at Middlesex Elementary School won the “Golden Shoe” for the month of December. Her students set a new school record by returning all of their fitness calendars. Her class didn’t let the cold weather stop it from being active.
