The honor code tradition continues for 5th-graders
Being part of a community of honor is an essential part of the middle school experience at Chesapeake Academy. During the first week of school, students are directed by student council officers to queue up to sign the school’s honor code.

The Rappahannock Art League presented grants totaling $1,800 to Middlesex County public schools. The grants are intended to supplement public funds and assist in purchasing classroom art supplies. The art league believes art education is important in developing students’ creativity, said Wilcox.

The new school year brings a big change at Middlesex Elementary School (MES). For the first time, five classes at MES will have the same teacher for two school years in a program called “looping.”
09.08.2010RCC awards summer degrees and certificates
As a service to its students, Rappahannock Community College now awards degrees and certificates after each academic semester, rather than only in the spring. Graduates will receive their academic credentials at the time they complete the requirements, and may then march in the commencement procession the following May, if they wish.
