Welcome to White Stone
imageMotorists entering or exiting southern Lancaster County can’t miss the town of White Stone. Settled in 1731 and incorporated in 1953, White Stone is a bustling town of 352 residents and 60 businesses covering a square-mile and is proudly known as the Southern Gateway to the Northern Neck of Virginia.

Mathews Maritime Heritage Trail
imageWith more than 200 miles of shoreline to explore, Mathews County is a paradise for kayakers and other boaters. The Mathews Maritime Heritage Trail documents the history of the East River, which had three wharfs that were essential for commerce up until the last century. While huge wharfs are but relics of the past, many historic houses, built with money earned from the water, dot the shore.

Welcome to Kinsale
imageA protected and historic deep-water port on the Yeocomico River, Kinsale was a bustling harbor during the Colonial era when it served as a shelter for ships that carried people and goods to and from England and other ports of call. In fact, Kinsale’s history is so rich that the Kinsale Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
