William Ruffin Creekmur

William Ruffin Creekmur beloved, son, grandson, and our gift from God, died suddenly February 22, 2010.

Ruffin graduated from Middlesex High School in June 2009 and was attending Rappahannock Community College. He loved and lived his life to the fullest! He adored his family and friends. He loved to snowboard, paintball, surf, wakeboard and playing his guitar. He treasured his trips to Spain and Canada with his good friend Harrison, and “chillin” with his many friends and his girlfriend, Rachel Lee.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Copland Haupt and stepfather George Henry Haupt; father, William R. Creekmur Jr. and his wife Heidi; stepbrothers, George Henry Haupt III and his wife Carol, and Benjamin Graham Haupt and his wife Tracy; sister, Mckena Creekmur; his grandmothers, Ridgely K. Copland and Susan Moenssens; and grandfather, William R. Creekmur and his wife Bunny.

He was predeceased by his Papa, George F. Copland.

He is also survived by his treasured aunts and uncles, MaryPat Copland Davis, Curtis N. Davis, George F. Copland III (Jeff), Tammy P. Copland, Garnett Copland, Charles E. Haupt, J. Warren Haupt, Fred Baughan, Nelms Creekmur, Suzanne Etherington, Mark Moenssens and Alan Baughan. He will be missed by countless cousins and friends.

He remains at North Bend Plantation, his ancestral home, 12200 Weyanoke Road, Charles City, Va. 23030, where the family will receive family and friends Wednesday, February 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at Westover Episcopal Church of Charles City, 11 a.m., Thursday, February 25, with burial following in the church cemetery.

We, his family, are so thankful for the joy he brought us and the love he gave us! He truly was our gift from God and our beautiful boy.
