Robert T. Bailey
Robert “Bob” Tyler Bailey passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014.
He was born in Richmond on November 17, 1952, of Forrest C. Bailey III and the late Jean H. Bailey. He has been a resident of Deltaville for the past four years but resided in Charleston, S.C., for the majority of his life.
Mr. Bailey attended the University of Florida and graduated from the University of Richmond in 1976. He began playing golf at a young age and obtained his pro card in the 1980s. He was an Eagle Scout at age 14 and later became a volunteer Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop #79 of Charleston.
Those who knew Bob all experienced his unconditional love as he gave it without restraint. He could always bring a smile to your face.
He is survived by his father, Forrest C. Bailey III of Deltaville; children Clara B. Farley and her husband, Scott, of Charleston, S.C., and Forrest T. Bailey of Charleston, S.C.; his siblings Donna B. Miles and her husband, Michael, of Mechanicsville and Wayne A. Bailey and his wife, Patricia, of Redondo Beach, Cal.; his niece Ellen F. Miles of Mechanicsville; nephews Taylor R. Miles of Danville and Connor B. Miles and his fiancée, Kimberley I. Grambo, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and great-niece Charlotte E. Miles.
A service was held celebrating Bob’s and Jean’s life on January 19, 2014. An additional service will be held in Charleston, S.C., at a later date.
