Nettie “Bobbie” Taylor, 81, of Deltaville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas and Nannie Mae Batchelor of Burlington, N.C.
She is survived by her three children, Tommy Taylor (Leslie), and Stephen and Paula Taylor; nine grandchildren, Dylan, Jordan, Stephanie, Staci, Shannon, Emily, Casey, Kristyn and Ryan; and three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jacob and Taylor.
She was a lifelong member of Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville. Funeral services were held Saturday in Philippi Christian Church, Deltaville. Interment followed at Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hardyville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zoar Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1010, Deltaville, VA 23043; or the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department of Deltaville or the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad of Deltaville.
The family of Bobbie Taylor gives special thanks to all friends and family, especially the hospitality of Philippi Church for the wonderful service and the food each and everyone provided during this difficult time. Bless you all.
