Nancy B. Simpson
Nancy Bristow Simpson of Boyce died on December 24 at Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester.
Nancy (or “Toes” as she was known to many) was born June 17, 1926, in Urbanna, and was the daughter of Cuthbert and Marie Bristow. She was married for 51 years to James P. Simpson III, who died in 2002.
Nancy was a long-standing member of the Garden Club of Virginia, the Winchester-Clarke Garden Club, and Christ Church in Millwood.
Surviving is a sister, Genevieve B. Mathews, of Front Royal; two sons, James P. Simpson IV (Carol) of Chester Springs, Pa., and Peter B. Simpson (Jenny) of Richmond; and two grandchildren, Mary D. Simpson and Graham B. Simpson.
The family will receive friends at the Battletown Inn in Berryville, on Saturday, January 5, from noon to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to Powhatan School, Boyce, Virginia.
