Mildred W. Womble

Mildred White Womble, age 107½, of Urbanna, formerly of Caroline County and Richmond, widow of Charles F. Womble Sr., died Saturday, October 27, 2012.
She was the oldest alumni of Averett College and a retired seamstress at Miller & Rhoads in Richmond. Mildred was a member of Urbanna Baptist Church and former member of Salem Baptist Church, Sparta. She was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances W. Sharp of Urbanna; son Charles F. Womble Jr. and wife Ellen of Sparta, 4 grandchildren, Sharon Sharp, and Ricky, Michael and Scott Womble; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda, followed by graveside services at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
