Marion N. Bartlett Sr.
Marion Norman Bartlett Sr., 91, of Topping, formerly of Richmond, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at his home. He was a meat cutter for many years at Ukrop’s and Koslows’ markets. He was a World War II veteran and served in Burma and China during the war. He loved to bowl and was in many leagues in Richmond, then in Gloucester. He was a Deacon Emeritus of Westville Baptist Church and loved his Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carolyn “Ginny” Bartlett; a son, Gifford Leroy Bartlett; a granddaughter, Nikki Bartlett; two stepsons, Patrick and Bill Behl; five step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Savage Bartlett; his second wife, Grace Wingo Bartlett; a son, Marion Norman Bartlett Jr.; his parents; and seven siblings.
A funeral service was held Saturday in Westville Baptist Church, Mathews. Burial followed at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston.
In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, was in charge of the arrangements.
