John Creel Estes III

John Creel “Johnny” Estes III, 62, resident of Beaverdam, former resident of Goochland County. passed on May 7, 2014 of natural causes.  Johnny was born February 2, 1952 in Richmond, graduated from Middlesex High School, and Auto Diesel School, in Nashville, Tenn.  He served his country in the National Guard, and worked for Cavalier Transportation and Best Products. 

Johnny was generous to a fault, adept at many things, and was loving, kind, and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed camping, boating and classic cars. 

Johnny is predeceased by his father John C. Estes Jr.; and brother, Gary Estes. 

He is survived by his caring mother, Evaleigh Estes; loving wife of 25 years, Sandra Hart Estes; beloved sisters Karen Bergdoll and Lisa Deeson; and devoted stepdaughter Kimberly Rodriguez (Manuel); and three grandchildren, Peyton, Manuel and Joshua. 

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, May 10, from 6-8 p.m. in the West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home. Services will take place on Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. in the Bennett Chapel with internment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. 

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Zion Christian Church 16158 Beaverdam Road, Beaverdam VA 23015, or to your local rescue squad or fire department.
