Jean S. Butcher

Jean S. Butcher, 92, of West Point died Monday, October 12, 2009. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Point for 59 years and volunteered at Riverside Convalescent Center for 13 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Butcher; sisters Tillie Ward, Ann Bergman and Irene Panak; and a brother, Adolph Sniegon. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rose and Donald Tabott of Deltaville, and Carol and Eugene Fetterolf, Connie and Chris Prince and Frank and Ava Jo Butcher, all of West Point; a sister, Helen Kaczmarski of West Point; grandchildren, Larry Wilson of Williamsburg, Deborah Robins of Mathews, Rick Wilson of West Point, Gina Fetterolf of King and Queen and Kenneth Krout of West Point; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point. The family will receive friends and hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery.
