David E. Shreeves

David Edward (Skip) Shreeves, 53, of Waynesboro, Pa., after eight months battle with pancreatic cancer, accepted Heaven as his final change of address on Sunday, November 13, 2011.
He is survived by his parents George David and Dale Rochelle Shreeves; three sons, Corey, Kyle and Collin Shreeves; and two best friends and caretakers, Jody Becker and Dave Kolbfleisch.
Skip was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed and June Dockeney of Martinsburg, W.Va., and David Elzie and Nettie (Dudley) Shreeves of Deltaville where he learned to swim at the Ricky Taylor Swimming Pool and enjoyed many vacations boating and fishing.
Skip was a member of Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ) in Virginia and Washington, D.C. His employment positions included associate manager of large stores in two major grocery chains of Rockville and Silver Spring, Md., and regional director of distribution for Coca-Cola in New Jersey and New York.
Celebrations of Skip’s faith, fun and friendships were held at Rosedale Cemetery and Winchester Avenue Christian Church in Martinsburg, W.Va. Memorial gifts were designated for American Cancer Society, East Central Division, Franklin and Fulton County Unit, 384 Floral Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
