D. Dwight Daniel
Donald Dwight Daniel, 56, of Remlik passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 after a long battle with lymphoma.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Gina; son, Emory Scott Daniel; a sister, Dolores Newman and her husband Chris; eight nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and a large extended family of friends and hunting buddies.
Dwight was a hard worker, providing well for his family. He was assistant chief of Water View Fire Department where he spent many hours. He loved hunting, the beach and cutting grass, and he truly loved his dogs, Sam, Katie Scarlett and Adda Girl.
Dwight was a man of his word and was known for speaking his mind and having a quick wit. He was a talented mechanic and loved to get into the nuts and bolts and fine details of making things work. If it was broken, Dwight could fix it. He was employed with Haynesville Correctional Center in the maintenance department and was a certified master locksmith.
Dwight fought a difficult journey in the last two years but found peace within knowing he was in God’s hands, which brought much comfort to him.
