He was predeceased by his father, Clarence L. Jacobson; mother, Ruth P. Jacobson; brother, Richard K. Jacobson; and daughter-in-law, Sandra B. Jacobson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Aurelia Marie Jacobson; daughter, Sandra Jacobson Oakley and her husband Steve of Manakin-Sabot; two sons, Kenneth Allen Jacobson of Urbanna, and Richard Keith Jacobson and his wife Sandra of Richmond; sister, Eleanor Johnson and her husband Vern of Evergreen Park Ill.; seven grandchildren, Shawn J. Camden and her husband Charlie of Wake, Christopher A. Jacobson of Midlothian, Scott Oakley of Manakin-Sabot, Alexis Oakley and her fiancé, Scott Rummel of Richmond, and Jordan, Tanner and Cutter Jacobson of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Navy on the Mine Sweeper USS Boardville. He attended Purdue University, He was a electrician for VEPCO and retired at the age of 59 1\2 with 30 years of service. He served as president of the Senior Bowling League and was captain of the Young at Heart Bowling Team.
The family will received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Parham Chapel in Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
