Christine A. Bartlett
Christine A. Bartlett, of Laneview, formerly of Richmond died Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born January 29, 1915 to the late George Riley Ashburn and second wife Clarissa Ann “Kate” Talley of Weems.
Christine was the widow of Gifford Bartlett. She and her first husband, George Wesley Jones had two children, Clarence and Lurlene.
Clarence Wesley Jones and wife Thelma’s children are Deborah and husband Ed Montgomery of Ignacio, Colo., Donna and husband Bryan Wright, Clarence, Jr. and wife Debby, Karen and husband Patrick McCann.
Lurlene Jones and husband Thomas Llewellyn “Llew” Samuel’s children are Lynn Samuel of Jeffersonton, Va., Virginia Lurlene and husband Daniel Schabacker of Escondedo, Calif., and Thomas Samuel Jr. and wife Julie of Baltimore, Md.
Christine’s seven great-grandchildren are Selena Wright, Jared Wright, Cheris Wright, Sydney Schabacker, Madison Claire Schabacker, Julia Christine Samuel and Alexander “Alec” Samuel.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment of ashes will be at Glebe Landing Baptist Church Cemetery, Laneview, on Saturday, August 14, at 3 p.m. following the Ashburn family reunion.
