He was a life member of Philippi Christian Church, a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department of Deltaville.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Slaughter Watson; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members; his special niece, Phyliss Bristow; and his beloved kitty “Sweetie.”
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Philippi Christian Church, Deltaville. Interment will be in the Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
