Carl J. Robins

Carl J. Robins, 82, of White Stone, formerly of Richmond, widower of Doris M. Robins, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009. 

He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a well-loved member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all. 

He is survived by a daughter, Dana R. Snead, and her husband Tom of Goochland; three sons, Carl J. Robins and his wife Becky of Richmond, Richard V. Robins and his wife Jo of Richmond, and Chris Allen Robins and his wife Christie of York, Pa..; eight grandchildren, Jessie, Kelly, Dylan, Bryant, Katie, Elaina, Anna and Timmy; three great-grandchildren, Amanda and Cate and Grayson; two sisters, Muriel Colley and Mozelle Richards of Mechanicsville; three brothers, Christian Robins of King William, Charles Robins of Richmond and Pete Robins of Warner. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment will be Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery at Warner.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 658, Irvington, VA 22480.
