Bernard VanDenburg Hall
Mr. Bernard VanDenburg Hall, 78, husband of the late Dorothea S. Hall and a resident of Locust Hill, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013.
Born May 22, 1935 in Richmond, he was a son of the late Bernard Alton Hall and Helen VanDenburg Hall. Van was graduated from James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, Georgetown University and the University of Virginia School of Law. He was an attorney in Fairfax, and retired to Locust Hill. He had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Olsen of Lake Forest, Illinois, and Allison Ford of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a sister, Betty Horton of Longs, S.C.; a brother, John Watson Hall of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren, Alexandra and Hannah Ford, and Samuel and Jack Olsen; and two nephews, Chris Hall of Fredericksburg, and Daniel Horton of Marlin, Texas.
A private interment of cremains will take place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond at 10 a.m. on July 22.
