Avonne Wright Hudgins of Deltaville passed away peacefully November 27, 2018 at Walter Reed Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester. She was the widow of Aubrey “Chink” Hudgins.

Avonne is survived by her children, Brenda Radwanski (Ed), Doug Hudgins (Ginny), Steve Hudgins and Robert Hudgins. She is also survived by four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a niece, and a nephew. She is also survived by her special friend Penny Hoar that she considered to be her “other daughter.”

Avonne was a life member of Philippi Christian Church, a former member of Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Rescue Squad Auxiliary. She loved helping others, spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, and traveling. Her smile was contagious and she was loved by many. “Miss Avonne” never had an unkind word for anyone and many generations sought her out for hugs, encouragement, and motherly advice.
