Aurelia M. Jacobson

Aurelia Marie Jacobson, 82, of Henrico went peacefully to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 63 years, Clifford C. Jacobson, Monday, Jan. 26, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen M. Harris; mother, Mary R. Harris; brother, Ray Harris, brother-in-law, Henry Reed; and daughter-in-law, Sandra B. Jacobson.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Jacobson Oakley and her husband Steve of Manakin-Sabot; two sons, Kenneth Allen Jacobson of Urbanna, and Richard Keith Jacobson and his wife Sandra of Richmond; sisters, Agnes Reed of Beaverdam, and Mildred Haley and her husband Nelson of Doswell; brothers, Ralph Harris and his wife Helen of Beaverdam, and Douglas Harris and his wife Eunice of Beaverdam; sister-in-law, Catherine Harris of Beaverdam; seven grandchildren, Shawn J. Camden and her husband Charlie of Wake, Christopher A. Jacobson of Midlothian, Scott Oakley of Manakin-Sabot, and Alexis Oakley and her fiancĂ© Scott Rummel, Jordan, Tanner, and Cutter Jacobson, all of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was the valedictorian of her senior class at Montpelier High School, and a homemaker for many years. She finished her career as a cafeteria manager in the Henrico School System. She served as a secretary of the Senior Bowling League and was a member of the Young at Heart Bowling Team.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond. Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Rd., Glen Allen. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
