Alvin Russell Walden
Born and raised in Deltaville, Alvin had a great appreciation and love for his family, friends and neighbors. Alvin’s love of boats and the Chesapeake Bay was epitomized by his life-long passion of boat building and his devotion to Walden Brothers Marina. There are many boats cruising and working the Bay that he built.

Byron Frank Jewell, 65, of Tappahannock, president of the Northern Neck Audubon Society (NNAS) from June 2009 to January 2011, died Tuesday, January 17, after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Survivors include his wife, Sarah Kathleen Lavicka; and a sister, Linda Lee Jewell of Washington.
