F. Myrtle Clark of Topping died Monday, April 25, 2011. She was the widow of William F. Clark and a member of River of Life Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra C. Rose, and her husband Ronnie of Topping; granddaughters, Tiffany and Shelby; two step-grandchildren, Christina and Steven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill "William" Brill, 79, of Durham, N.C., longtime sports writer, editor and columnist, died April 10, 2011 after a battle with esophageal and liver cancer. A longtime Duke sports historian, Mr. Brill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane Shaw Brill; and his sister, Cassie Brill, of Deltaville.

Born February 21, 1916 in Scott County, MO, she lived in St. Louis and St. Louis County, MO, until 1980. She graduated from Central High and Hadley Vocational School. She worked as a commercial artist at International Shoe Company until the late 1940s, then devoted herself to fine art.
