Larry Stone Shores Sr.
imageMr. Shores was an early pioneer in establishing youth sports in the county. He organized and coached the Urbanna Midgets, later named the Urbanna Colts, a championship youth football team complete with cheerleaders that played in the Lower Northern Neck Midget Football League in 1966-67.

Homegoing services for William Booker T. Dickerson, 83, of Pittsburgh, Pa., who departed this life July 20, 2009, will be Wednesday, July 29, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of White-Tidewater Funeral Home, Jamaica, with ministers Irene Goins and Margaret Louden officiating.

Gretchen Van Kleeck Austin, 68, a 13-year resident of Middlesex County, formerly of Richmond, died of cancer on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in her home near Urbanna. Memorial donations may be made to the Middlesex County Public Library, P.O. Box 189, Urbanna, VA 23175.

Jeanne Walburg Campbell, 79, of Irvington died Sunday, July 19, 2009. Memorials services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury with Rev. Davis Smith officiating. A private inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington.

F. Craig Sellaro
Francis Craig Sellaro, 48, of Piankatank Shores in Hartfield and St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Friday, July 3, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sue Sellaro; a son, Francis Craig Sellaro II; a daughter, Christina Marie Sellaro; a grandson, Jorden Craig Sellaro of St. Petersburg, Florida; his father, Francis Salvatore Sellaro of Miami Beach, Florida; an elder sister, Ruby Kathleen Sellaro of North; and a younger sister, Joey Sellaro D’Andrea of Piankatank Shores.
