Funeral services for Mrs. Emma J. Boyd of Deltaville, who passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, will be Saturday, July 31, at 4 p.m. at Grafton Baptist Church, Hartfield, with Rev. C.E. Mann Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

John A. Coe of Urbanna sailed on his final voyage June 29, 2010. In 1944 he followed his twin brother’s example and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the Battle Cruiser USS ALASKA during the Pacific campaign, then returning to Manchester before leaving for college.

James E. “Bill” Yarrington Sr., of Locust Hill passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 after a short illness. He was born June 25, 1921 at Warner in Middlesex County and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Wilbur Traylor of Fayetteville, N.C., died quietly as he slept on Saturday, July 17, five days short of his 83rd birthday. He was a native of Ashland, Va., son of Joseph Lee Traylor and Annie Heath Traylor. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
