Ruth Hiester Gaebe of Greensboro, N.C., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 10, as a result of an automobile accident. Ruth was only three days from celebrating her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Roy Gaebe; a son, Richard A. Gaebe; and her two brothers, Oliver and Al Hiester.

During her life, she was Justice of the Peace for Gloucester County, she managed a newspaper route, served as a dispatcher for the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department, was a matron for the Middlesex County Jail, a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and was a caregiver to many.
