Jerry Atterholt, 59, of Midlothian and Urbanna, died Friday, May 25, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Atterholt; daughters, Ashby K. Pond, Sarah M. Jencik, and Carter C. Hathaway; and a grandson, Kieran Hathaway.

Wesley Christopher Greenwood Jr., a true Virginia waterman and sportsman, departed this life on Friday, May 25, 2012. Born in Stevensville, he soon found himself in Middlesex County where he lived out his later life on the water as a commercial fisherman. He also was a fur trader and trapper throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was the founder of Greenwood Fur and Scrap, currently Middlesex Metals.

Born at Locust Hill in Middlesex on October, 24, 1918, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William “Arthur” Hayes and Robert “Bob” Croxton: and grandchildren, Amy Brent Dawson and Christopher Lee Dawson.

Marie was born in Norfolk on May 23, 1928. She met and married Sidney D. Stallings and moved to Remlik in 1954. She was an active member of Remlik Wesleyan Church serving as treasurer for many years. She was a volunteer at Nearly New and loved to read. She retired at the age of 82 with reluctance, preferring to stay busy.
