B. Frank Jewell
Byron Frank Jewell, 65, of Tappahannock, president of the Northern Neck Audubon Society (NNAS) from June 2009 to January 2011, died Tuesday, January 17, after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Survivors include his wife, Sarah Kathleen Lavicka; and a sister, Linda Lee Jewell of Washington.

Fletcher Winston “Winny” Somers (Pooh Bear), a lifetime Richmond native who loved his summers in Deltaville and winters in Vero Beach, Fla., passed away after 82 years of a very full life. He is survived by his two daughters, Lynda Donahue (JD) and Judy Allen (Todd); grandchildren, Juli Cruciotti (Josh) and Davis Allen (Lindsey); and two great-granddaughters, Sadie and Anna.
