Thomas N. Walton, 85, of Hayes, former owner of Walton’s Fireworks in King and Queen County, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 4, 2010 in his home after a long illness surrounded by his loving family.

In 1993, her accountability collection, "A Life of Service: Empowering the Powerless” was dedicated and accepted at the Center for African American History and Culture at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. Her work, as it related to her strong alumni advocacy, was gifted to her beloved Virginia Union University in 2005.

Mary Rebecca Daniel Fary, a resident of Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Mrs. Fary was born in Deltaville on November 28, 1921 and was the daughter of Stuart W. and Annie Lena George Daniel.

The Lord called home John Allen Waldrop, Jr. on May 25, 2010. After living the majority of his life in the greater Richmond Area, he spent his retirement in Middlesex County in Topping. John owned a dry cleaning business for 20 years.

Wilmer C. Sears, 75, of Urbanna, widower of Delma Walden Sears, died Friday, May 21, 2010. He was a retired Southern States employee and is survived by two sisters, Shirley S. Boyer of Shacklefords, and Mary Jacqueline Rainier, of Harcum; and two brothers: Floyd H. Sears of D’Iberville, Miss., and Herman D. Sears of Center Cross.
