Eugene F. Blake passed away at his home in Hardyville on December 14, 2011. He was 88 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jeanne S. Blake. Gene was a WWII veteran, operated a grocery in Sandston for 20 years, and was a real estate broker and builder for 15 years.

Ingeborg Thormann Ruge Pease, 86, of Urbanna went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2011. It was the same day she was burying her beloved husband at Arlington National Cemetery. She was born on June 19, 1925 in Stettin, Germany, and moved all over the world as an Army Bomb Disposal wife but resided in Urbanna since 1993.
