Craig Martin Oxendine of Baker, W.Va., formerly of Middlesex, died April 24, 2009. A candlelight service will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 8 p.m. at Forest Chapel Church, which is just off Route 17 on Forest Chapel Road in Warner.

Caroline H. Wells
Caroline Howlett Wells, 90, of Colonial Heights and Deltaville, fondly called “Gracie,” went to be with the Lord April 21, 2009. Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment was in Southlawn Memorial Park.

Bruno J. Tassone, 82, entered the light on Tuesday afternoon, April 21, at his home in Hartfield. Born September 6, 1926, in North Providence, R.I., this son of the late Bruno and Michelina Tassone was a distinguished US Army Veteran of the Pacific Theater in World War II.

Edna Pearl Lemon Reid of Glenns died Saturday, April 18, 2009. She was the beloved mother of Ernest Reid (Catherine), William Reid (Mary), Gloria Holmes (William), Hazel Bailey (Samuel), Stella Reid and Earl Reid (Lonzie). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
