Board to consider more special exceptions in county’s solar ordinance
Right now, solar facilities are permitted without special conditions in too many of Middlesex County’s zoning districts, said Jamaica District supervisor Wayne Jessie at the Middlesex Board of Supervisors June 4 meeting.

Planners hearings on solar setback, campground tonight
The Middlesex Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. on a proposed zoning amendment regarding solar energy facilities that would allow an applicant to request through the special exception process a waiver to the 1,000-foot setback requirement from primary highways to a setback of 200 feet.

Election ballot finalized
The ballot has been set for the November 5, 2019 General Election. The filing deadline was Tuesday, June 11. All local terms are for four years.
