Water View man injured in crash
Marshall Bagby of Water View, who was not wearing his seat belt, was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday evening, said Virginia State Trooper S.T. Smith.
Bagby, 50, was flown by helicopter to the Medical Center of Virginia in Richmond and remained in the trauma unit as of Monday, said Trooper Smith.
According to the accident report, the crash occurred on Route 640 about seven-tenths of a mile from Route 17 on a straight section of the road that leads to Water View. Bagby was driving a Ford F-150 pick-up and ran off the road and struck a tree with the front driver’s side of the truck.
The speed limit is 45 miles per hour and there were no skid marks. Charges are pending, said Trooper Smith.
