Urbanna man charged with felonies
The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office reported this week that on February 6, Dustin Michael Hodges of West Avenue in Urbanna was arrested and charged with 4 felonies, which included embezzlement that allegedly occurred on January 2; one count of entering a structure on January 25 to commit burglary; and two counts of grand larceny that allegedly occurred on February 4.
One of these grand larceny charges is related to the alleged theft of property from a Hummel Airport hangar.
A break-in also occurred at Atlantic Metals in Topping, indicate court documents. Hodges was formerly employed by Atlantic Metals.
Hodges was released at that time on his own recognizance without posting bond.
However, on February 13, Hodges was charged with 3 more felonies. Two of these charges include one count of breaking and entering, and one count of grand larceny of an Urbanna business. He remains incarcerated without bond at the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center in Saluda.
Hodges also is charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; and a misdemeanor of unauthorized possession of controlled drug paraphernalia.
Hodges’ preliminary hearing on the felonies is set for May 6 at 10 a.m.
The investigation continues and more information may be released as it becomes available, said the sheriff’s office.
