Unveiling of “Signatures in Time” is Sunday
“Signatures In Time—A Living History of Middlesex County, Virginia” will be released this Sunday, November 18, at an unveiling ceremony at Rosegill Plantation, just outside of Urbanna, from 3-5 p.m.
The book is a six-year project completed by the Middlesex County Jamestown 2007 Book Committee. The 428-page book, published by the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors, is the first-ever chronological history written on Middlesex. The author of the book is Larry Chowning, Archie Soucek is the editor, Pat DePina is the illustrator, and Claudia Soucek is the chair of the book committee.
The public is invited to attend the unveiling. The people involved in publishing Middlesex’s first-ever history book will be there to sign books, which cost $50. A limited number of embossed copies that are numbered and signed will be available and will cost $100.
