SWCB to consider sewage plant in April

The State Water Control Board’s next regular business meeting is scheduled for April 27-28.

An agenda has not been finalized, but consideration of the proposed Saluda wastewater treatment plant discharge permit application is expected at that meeting and will probably be on April 27, said Cindy M. Berndt, director of regulatory affairs for the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

An agenda will be available around April 1. The meeting will be held in House Room C of the General Assembly Building at 9th and Broad streets in Richmond, and will convene at 9:30 a.m. There will not be a public hearing, but there will be an opportunity for those persons who commented during the previous DEQ public comment period to address the board.
