Jamaica man charged with attempted rape
The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office reported that in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 17, the office received a call to respond to the Urbanna area on a report of an attempted rape and abduction.
The suspect is reported to have entered the residence, getting a knife and forcing the woman on the ground and sexually assaulting her.
As a result of the investigation, Marlon Vernelle Davis Jr. of Jamaica has been arrested and charged with assault and battery, attempted rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, maliciously stabbing, cutting or wounding, and abduction.
Davis remains in the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center in Saluda where he is being held without bond.
