Foster Care Month picnic

In recognition of National Foster Care Month and to celebrate all of the wonderful people involved in the Foster Care Program, there will be an Old-Fashioned River Picnic at the home of Linda and Dave Cryer of Urbanna on Saturday, May 31 (rain date: Sunday, June 1).

This picnic is being sponsored by the Northern Neck Foster Parent Program (Essex, Lancaster, Northumberland and Westmoreland counties) and the Middlesex County Department of Social Services.

Attending will be foster parents and their families, foster children, and Department of Social Services employees and their families. Additionally, we are welcoming individuals/families to attend who are considering foster parenting and would like to meet with foster care professionals in a relaxed and informal way and just have fun. There is no charge to attend and lunch will be provided.

There will be many activities including boat rides, swimming, beach fun, kayaking, water slide, a bounce house, ice cream bar, games, lunch, and so much more.

For additional information or to make reservation, call Georgia Sprague at 804-580-3477.
