Fire was coming out of the windows when firefighters arrived shortly after 10 p.m. on Feb. 26, Blake said.
The residents were not home when the fire started, and called 911 when they arrived home at 10 p.m. and discovered the fire, said Blake.
The State Police arson investigator was called in by Blake after the homeowner told him he suspected foul play.
The River Counties Chapter of the Red Cross gave immediate support and financial assistance to two adults and two children who were displaced by the fire.
