Cuccinelli to speak in Hartfield

Republicans and independents from Middlesex County and other Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck communities will gather at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, at the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department Pavilion on Route 3 for a reception and dinner in honor of Virginia Patriot Patrick Henry. Henry will be impersonated by Michael Wells, a re-enactor from Williamsburg.

Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli will be the keynote speaker of the evening. He will be introduced by Wells.

Virginia Republican State Chairman Pat Mullins, First District Congressman Rob Wittman, State Senator Ryan McDougle, retiring Delegate Harvey Morgan, and 98th District House of Delegates candidate Keith Hodges will be the notable guests at the event. Candidates for U.S. Senate seats, Tom Donner and Bishop E.W. Jackson, also will be present. 

A VIP reception at 6 p.m., sponsored by J&W Seafood Co. of Deltaville, will feature oysters and other seafood while the barbecue dinner will be prepared by “Cops Cooking” of Virginia Beach.

Sponsors of the event include, in addition to J&W, Estate Assurance Systems Inc., Revere Gas Co., Virginia Motor Speedway, Fleet Brothers, River Birch Landscape and Delegate Harvey Morgan.
