Break-ins occur at Deltaville businesses

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is investigating break-ins that occurred at two related businesses in Deltaville this week, reported Captain M.E. Sampson of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office.

Parts City and its sister business, Deltaville Auto Marine, which is located next door, were broken into sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, and 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 30, said Sampson.

Individuals entered the Parts City building through a locked back door, and took an unknown amount of cash from the business, which also was vandalized.

A shed located in back of the building was broken into by pulling out the window air conditioner, Sampson added. Nothing was taken.

Deltaville Auto Marine was broken into in a similar manner, said Sampson. Several thousand dollars worth of tools and equipment were taken from the shop and the office was also vandalized.

Investigators are following leads. Anyone with information is urged to call the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Crime Line at 758-5600.
