Historic Ruark Post Office saved
imageThe Ruark family hailed from Hooper Island on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Sometime in the late 1800s, Alfred W. “Captain Al” Ruark and his first cousin, Millard F. “Captain Phil” Ruark, moved to Fishing Bay not far from Sandy Bottom and Amburg, all of which are known today as Deltaville.

Swinehart files for supervisor election
Kathy H. Swinehart has completed all the necessary paperwork and is now a qualified candidate to run in the special election for the Harmony Village District seat on the Middlesex Board of Supervisors (BOS), reported Melissa D. Welch, Middlesex County Director of Elections and General Registrar.
