Grant could help fund water system
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) are offering the Middlesex Water Authority (MWA) $15 million in financing at rates as low as 2%—and the MWA has a good chance of getting a $2 million USDA grant for the proposed central water system that would serve the eastern half of the county.

Whiting Creek boat ramp/parking area to be improved
imageMiddlesex County Director of Planning David Kretz reported to the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors on June 6 that survey work has been completed at Marsh Pungo Public Landing on Whiting Creek at Locust Hill, and there are plans to upgrade and improve the site.
