Residents reminded to make addresses visible
The Middlesex Board of Supervisors was informed at its November 8 meeting that county officials will be going door-to-door throughout the county checking to see if homes have E-911 address numbers visible at the front of their homes.

Mansfield re-elected; Koontz wins Hartfield supervisor seat 
Two of five seats on the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors were contested in the Tuesday, November 7 election. In the Saluda District supervisor race, Peter W. “Pete” Mansfield of Saluda won a third term by defeating challenger Marcia S. Jones of Saluda. In the race for Hartfield District supervisor, incumbent challenger John B. Koontz of Hartfield edged incumbent Robert L. “Bob” LeBoeuf of Hartfield by 31 votes.

Haley Revere, Bailey Pullman reign over 60th Oyster Festival
imageHaley Revere was crowned Queen of the 60th Urbanna Oyster Festival and Bailey Pullman was crowned Little Miss Spat at the Urbanna Firehouse on Friday, November 3. As Urbanna Oyster Festival Queen, Revere received a $5,000 college scholarship. As Little Miss Spat, Bailey Pullman received $150.
