The grand opening/ribbon cutting of the new Syd Thrift Athletic Complex at Middlesex High School (MHS) in Saluda attracted over 1,200 people to the new facility Friday evening. To add to the festivities, the MHS football team won the first game played at the complex, 21-14 over Mathews.
