Habitat completes 7th new home
Habitat for Humanity Middlesex dedicated its seventh new home on Sunday and turned the keys over to the new owners, Carla Robertson and family. About 40 people attended the dedication to celebrate the completion of the new home. They included Habitat board members, volunteers, family members and friends.

As the development of a new emergency radio system for Middlesex County enters phase two, the county board of supervisors voted on August 4 to terminate its emergency radio system contract with RCC Consultants and to negotiate a contract with consultant Federal Engineering of Fairfax.

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (MSO) is awaiting the findings of a state medical examiner who will perform autopsies on two persons who died in Middlesex in separate incidents within the last two weeks, reported Major M.E. Sampson of the MSO.
