Preliminary report shows all Middlesex schools accredited
Preliminary Standards of Learning scores for the 2015-16 school year show that all three Middlesex County public schools are fully accredited, reported assistant superintendent of schools Dr. Michael Cromartie at the July 11 school board meeting.

Lillian Ann Smith is a retired teacher who owns stock in Dominion Resources Inc. She also owns a home within feet of where the company’s power and energy division proposes to erect 10 transmission towers across the Rappahannock River.

Broadband Authority formed
The Middlesex Broadband Authority (MBA) held its organizational meeting on July 5. Among the MBA goals is to provide broadband high-speed internet service to Middlesex County Public Schools and county offices at less of a cost, and provide service to unserved areas of the county.
